Inspiration of a red-headed rooster

This was like word association but we played this through text messages.  She sent me the first line and I responded with a text.  Then she would respond back with a text.   We played off of each other's words and this is what became of it.

She was never mine - When fire and burning passion create the void, the void opens wider spewing out flickers of those once loved, now lost.  In a prison made of glass I wait... Shards of broken glass around me lay. The dropplets of blood reflect my tears.  My heart still now, she won't wake me anymore. Take me just once more before you let me go.  Like a bird I need to fly without feeling suffocated. Release me so I can be free to feel again. My world turned grey. Sound now shrill and her love for my heart wilted. Never again will I let pride consume me. Love has all boundaries chained to a heart desperate for that one who will breathe life back into one so still.  My power - my words have left me. Only the shadows remain in my dreams. My Barbarella where have you gone? Take from me what you will. My spirit is broken like the fragile wing, crushed beyond repair.
